Venus is exalted in Pisces aka where she feels most at home. It’s fluid, surrendered, dreamy, and transcendent.

In Aries, she’s in detriment, said to be at her weakest, alongside Scorpio. ‘

But “weakest” doesn’t mean doomed. It means Venus’ softness and receptivity sit in tension with Aries/Scorpio’s Mars-ruled energy of desire, action, sex, and drive. The contradiction can make love fierce, raw, and complicated.

For me, Taurus placements sit on my South Node, aka soul-ties of “been there, done that.” Cancer placements, aside from my husband’s Cancer Mars that I worship with feral devotion, have been my toughest connections. Virgo? I crave the surrender and dreamscape of Pisces, which Virgo’s archetype rarely offers. Capricorn clicks beautifully with my Moon… platonically. Romantically, it’s too bound to practicality while I’m lost in esoteric reveries.

Scorpio Venus? Maybe that could’ve worked as it’s also Mars-ruled and deep in nature, and ironically, also in detriment.

Guess I have a type 😂

But most textbook “matches” never felt like my match.
